Club NXT U23 took on Helmond Sport at the RKSV Wittenhorst sports complex to end the summer training camp in the Netherlands.
Helmond Sport was quickest out the traps with an early goal through Mark Lokowicz, who opened the scoring after just seven minutes. But Club NXT U23 reacted swiftly when Lund Jensen equalised after a smooth attacking move. That eager start from both sides was followed by a first-half performance with little chances. Goalkeeper Argus Vanden Driessche had to keep out a few attempts, but didn't get in too much trouble. With the first half closing to an end Buifrahi had a good chance to get his name on the score sheet, but his attempt sailed wide.
Just after the break Helmond Sport took the lead again when Flor Van den Eynden pounced home the rebound after a good first save from Vanden Driessche. Club NXT tried to get the score level again, but Musuayi, Goemaere and Lund Jensen just couldn't get the ball against the back of the net and so the game ended 2-1 in favour of the hosts.
