Good news for American soccer fans: the Jupiler Pro League can now also be watched in the United States on the sports channel ESPN.
The Pro League announced it Friday: rights holder Eleven Sports and MediaPro reached an agreement on Belgian soccer. As a result, the Jupiler Pro League will be shown in North, South and Central America for the next five years on the paying channel ESPN+.
"For the Pro League, the U.S. market is an important strategic market for further development," explained CEO Pierre François. "The potential is enormous and we are particularly proud of the five-year agreement with a premium channel like ESPN for the American continents."
ESPN is one of the largest sports channels in the world, with the Bundesliga, Serie A, UEFA Nations League and MLS also in its portfolio. So soon the Americans might also see Ethan Horvath shining on the Belgian fields.
