For the next three seasons, Club Brugge will rely on the services of STATSports, a world player in the field of performance tracking and analysis. STATSports' system helps us map and individually track the fitness of the players.
STATSports is a data company that uses GPS tracking to map the physical performance of our players. They monitor every movement, acceleration, distance and high-intensity runs at training at Basecamp and during games at Jan Breydel Stadium. This gives the physical coaches the opportunity to follow along live and intervene immediately if the status falls from green to orange or red.
Eddie Rob, physical coach of the A core, is pleased with the partnership: "Partnering with STATSports was a no-brainer. Their technology is the best in the industry. The data accuracy, reliability and user-friendly nature of the product means we can rely on the data and then easily communicate it to the other coaches and players."
STATSports' technology also allows the data to be read and analyzed more deeply after each training session or game. The physical preparedness of each player can thus be closely monitored. Coaches can thus quickly and accurately make adjustments in workload, eating patterns, etc.
STATSports COO and co-founder, Sean O'Connor, was delighted to add a Belgian soccer giant: "Given that the RBFA and a large number of top clubs from the Pro League are already STATSports customers, we are delighted to add Club Brugge KV. They are a household name in Belgian and European soccer. We feel that, together with our cutting-edge technology and their progressive status as a club, together we can make great strides in soccer performance."
