Club Brugge brought their preparations for the 2025-26 season to a close with a final friendly – a 2x60-minute encounter – against Patro Eisden. Despite dominating large spells of the match, Blauw-Zwart fell to a 1-3 defeat against the side from Limburg. Reis netted Club’s only goal after Rousseau had given the visitors a two-goal cushion. Robberechts sealed the final scoreline late on.
With the exception of Mignolet, Club started with the same XI that lifted the 18th Belgian Super Cup at the Dudenpark last Sunday. FCB controlled possession and dictated the tempo early on, but it was Rousseau who opened the scoring, heading home a cross with ease. Just eight minutes later, Rousseau doubled the lead from the penalty spot.
Club pulled one back just before the half-hour mark when Reis nodded in a pinpoint delivery from Tzolis. Shortly after, Vermant, Seys, and Tzolis were substituted, with Tresoldi, Skoras, and Meijer entering the fray.
Following the first interval at 45 minutes, head coach Nicky Hayen made a number of changes. An unforced error in the Bruges backline allowed Robberechts to make it 1-3 via a deflected effort that left Jackers with no chance. Despite Sandra's attempts to spark a comeback, Patro Eisden, led by former Club goalkeeper Stijn Stijnen, held firm to see out the win.
