Mignolet began his professional career at STVV and moved to AFC Sunderland in 2010. There, the goalkeeper emerged as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League. In 2013, he was signed by top club Liverpool, where he was crowned Player of the Year in 2015. He won the UEFA Champions League with The Reds in 2019. Big Si brought a wealth of experience to Brugge, having accumulated an impressive 245 appearances in the Premier League.
During his time at Blauw-Zwart, Mignolet has already won the 'Goalkeeper of the Year' award four times in four seasons. He was also voted 'Player of the Year' by the Brugge fans in 2022 and won the 'Golden Shoe' award. His contract at Club Brugge runs till 2026.
